The International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) has grown out to become one of the biggest film events worldwide while retaining its focus on the latest developments in independent, creative and experimental cinema from around the globe as well as on film related art and safeguarding its informal ambiance. IFFR was founded in 1972 as Film International by Huub Bals.

Once a year, the IFFR attracts a large audience (2004: 355,000 admissions) and numerous international film professionals to its Rotterdam venues. Together with its Hubert Bals Fund and CineMart, IFFR is able to actively support independent film making in its various stages of realisation.

Now and Wow Dance Club

Now and Wow is the place to be in Rotterdam, or even in The Netherlands. This dance annex relax club is renowned for its open-mindedness and theatrical entertainment by the many super stylish proms, as they are called. Although this place can be very crowded at the popular clubnights, Now and Wow still seems to retain a friendly ambience. Since the Now and Wow moved to the current address, the club is divided into three sections, namely: The Now (more mainstream type of crowd and house music), the Wow (urban, funk and dance), the SuperWow (where you can relax and have a cup of coffee whilst enjoying the party rush from a cosy corner).
