What is your favourite piece of clothing? Is it a piece by a certain clothing label or something that belonged to one of your family members or...
Mine is a slim-fit brown leather coat that belonged to my mother when she was my age, she has been very careful with it since it still looks immaculate. People always ask me where I got it from, seems some things never go out of fashion :).

Mine is black tailored wool suit (jacket and skirt) from an exellent quality and so well tailored and sewed. I bought it years and years ago for so less money second hand. I always have pampered it. It still fits great. I did wear it lately. Comments: wow, you look so stylish!
Ain't that funny? I do wear it of and on. I didn't wear it for years. The only thing that changes all the time is my shoewear with it. It's a great classic! I adore this outfit. I hope it will live as long as I live. I have a dark green classic calfsleather coat my daughter has an eye on. She can have it when I'm dead. But I pamper this coat like your mom Maddy so maybe in years she will have a story like yours. Loved to read that. No some thing do go never out of fashion. Nov 16, 05 | 9:15 am

my favourites are probably shoes, I tend to keep them forever, and ever and never throw them away. I have a wonderful pair of vintage sandals by Jan Janssen (dutch shoe designer) that I may pick as my favourite.

my favourite peice in my wardrobe is a red embroidered sari. its that perfect shade of red w/ a beautiful 'zardozi'(muslim goldenwork) embroidery which my mom gave me as a part of my bridal trousseau. my mom is an avid collector of saris and she's made sure that i have one of every type, from each state of india..they are all so special, intricately handwoven or hand embroidered w/a certain degree of exclusivity in all. if any of u is travelling to india and wants to see this collection, ur most welcome to contact me., and have a look.
i think our moms truly make our wardrobes special...w/out them it doesnt seem to be getting any good. Dec 12, 05 | 8:19 pm

Your saris collections sounds to be wonderful! I think it's a tough question since I don't have a piece that I think stands out that much. I will always keep my clubbing clothes from the 90s because they were fun and over the top. At this moment I am especially happy with my pieces from Viktor & rolf Monsieur and jewelry/accessories from Vivienne Westwood and Dior Homme. I recently bought a sample-sale YSL jacket which was a super bargain and fits me like a glove, I love that one too.
