‘Everyone grows up, everyone grows out of the clothes that have become to small. But at the same time I want to stay young. I wanto to stay naïve, playful and want to hide in clothes that are still far too big. I want to stay young at heart…’.

Antoine Peters proudly presented his XXXS/S 2008 collection with the playfulness that he had already portrayed in his Sweater For The World project. A happy, colourful collection that showed both items being too small or far too large. Peters constructed his collection based on common items from one’s wardrobe (t-shirts, sweaters and jeans) but transformed to new silhouettes that were both wearable and happy, whether they are elegant enough remains to be questioned. The combination of his t-shirt print and the bright colours reinforced a pleasing palette of Antoine’s world: a boy that is still a kid at heart in the big fashion world.
