Although some may consider them the ultimate way to burn money, we love scented candles to put your house in the right mood after a stressful day. We list our own personal favourites.

The classic and chic Diptyque has a superb range of candles to match everyone’s taste and often makes special editions with style icons such as John Galliano. Our personal favourite is The Methe Vert with its refreshing smell….

Comme des Garcons’ perfumes are known for their daring packaging and interesting notes, but their selection of candles is expanding fast as well. The sexy 888 comes in a beautiful golden box and tickles the senses. If gold has a smell, this is it!

Cire trudon may be the chicest of them all, established in 1643 and oh-so Parisian chic. We love Trianon, a candle in homage to the Queen Marie Antoinette who commissioned many of the candles from Maison de cire Trudon.
