BlueBlood: For our friends
CATWALK SHOW SPRING SUMMER 2007

Only a few hours after their first flagship store had opened at the PC Hoofdstraat in Amsterdam, ‘new luxury’ brand BlueBlood presented a young, edgy and energetic runway show. BlueBlood’s theme is ‘for our friends’ which is also represented by the other designers that are sold in their shop such as Wolf van Benthum, Daryl van Wouw and Bibi van der Velde; their friends. The young brand led by design director Jason Denham has a passion for jeans; craftsmanship, special denims and sharp tailoring make up their collection of ‘things you want to wear’. The models oozed with a young and vibrant attitude, sometimes flirtatious, sometimes absent minded in their own little world… A portrayal of Generation Y customers who are confident about their looks and the technology they carry. Some may argue the show’s execution was too young for the pricing and image the brand wants to communicate, nevertheless the audience wanted more AND a pair of BlueBlood jeans. (JVG)
