PUT YOUR TALENT ON THE MAP!Launched in 2007 by award-winning Dutch creative director and publisher of über chic online international fashion zine Iconique.com Joost van Gorsel and Melissa Sterry, award-winning sustainable innovation entrepreneur and founder & CEO of creative think tank, agency and incubator Societás - the ‘Iconique Societás Awards’ bring the global spotlight to the best emerging talent in fashion photography, fashion illustration, and with the launch of a third award category, now fashion styling. Celebrating innovation in the fashion visual arts the awards are supported by media partners Stylenoir.co.uk and jotta.com – the digital community for the arts founded in partnership with Central Saint Martins and The University of the Arts.
The awards jury for 2009 includes acclaimed milliner, jewellery designer and Britain’s Next Top Model judge Louis Mariette - credited as one of the 250 most influential creatives in the world by I-D Magazine, Sandor Lubbe - creator of Dutch magazine and owner of Zoo Magazine co-founded by Bryan Adams, James Mills - CEO of StyleNoir.co.uk and publisher of The Black Book of Fashion and Art, award-winning New York designer, surfer and tri-athlete Natalia Allen of Design Futurist, Cypriot fashion designer, filmmaker and publisher of cult fashion blog UnNoUVEaUiDEAL Filep Motwary, McCann Worldwide's Head of Innovation and awarding-winning creative director Justin Champney, Celebrity Make-up Artist Emma Day whose clients have included Daniel Craig, Kiera Knightly and Róisín Murphy, Editor of jotta.com’s magazine Millie Ross, National President of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada - Rod Roodenburg , fashion stylist and Contributing Editor to Vanity Fair Italia Michael Dye, award-winning fashion designer, author and contributor to Fashion Capital Samata Angel, award-winning Australian skin illustrator, photographer and sculptor Emma Hack, Co-Chairman & Co-Founder of Fashion Business Club Courtney Blackman and the awards founders Joost van Gorsel of Iconique.com and Melissa Sterry of Societás. Professional photographers, illustrators and stylists are asked to submit an original fashion editorial, which fits the theme ‘ARTIFACT’. The execution of the theme is up to the photographer/illustrator. The overall winner (best entry across the three award categories) will receive a Key-2 Luxury, the winner of the fashion photography category will win an animated fashion editorial published on Iconique.com and on podcast, the winner of the fashion illustration category will win editorial in Iconique.com’s online gallery Les Arts Digitales, the winner of the fashion styling award will win an editorial in Iconique.com and all three winners will win editorial in a Stylenoir publication and in jotta.com’s magazine. |
